How to Stream the September 14th Apple Event (and What to Expect)

What to expect from the September 14 Apple event

Apple hasn’t confirmed what we’ll see at Tuesday’s event yet, but there’s plenty of speculation that the iPhone 13 will get its official debut here. Rumors indicate the new iPhone line will see all the expected hardware upgrades—faster chipset, better camera, flashier displays, and plenty of new features—but will maintain the size and design of the iPhone 12 family. Considering that Apple historically announces new smartphones in September, it’s likely we’ll know for sure what those upgrades are in just a few days.

The iPhone 13 is the safest bet, but if it is announced, then the also rumored AirPods 3 and Apple Watch 7 could also make an appearance, as both devices are expected to ship alongside the iPhone 13. If so, Apple will likely want to show off all the new capabilities the next AirPods and Apple Watches can do specifically when paired with the iPhone 13.

Similarly, it wouldn’t be surprising to see new iPad devices if Apple has any ready to reveal, since both iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 will launch simultaneously in the coming weeks.

Less likely—though certainly not off the table—are new Macs. We’re still waiting to see new 16-inch MacBook Pros running on Apple’s new first-party chipsets, as well as the next wave of Mac computers with Apple silicon, but I’d wager Apple wants to give these as-yet-unannounced computers their own event.

Of course, this is all speculation. We could see all—or none—of these products come Tuesday. Luckily, whatever Apple announces, it’ll be easy to watch along live from pretty much any device you own.
