What’s New on Paramount Plus in December 2021

Amid the other typically slim pickings on the Viacom-owned streaming service in December: The premiere of Queen of the Universe (Dec. 2), a drag singing competition series spun off of RuPaul’s Drag Race, hosted by Drag Race UK’s Graham Norton; a Rugrats holiday special (Dec. 2); Reno 911: The Hunt for QANON, which reunites the cast of the mid-aughts Comedy Central series for a truly 2021 investigation; and the holiday film Christmas Takes Flight (Dec. 19), which is about a “handsome but frugal airline CEO” who takes over a small regional carrier and plans to cut their annual Christmas charity event, leaving it up to the former owner’s daughter to save the day and bring back the spirit of the season. (Now I kind of understand why so many people watch these things, and why Hallmark makes 30 of them every year.)
